The Seven Magi are a group of lesser deities that have been put in place by Cynefrid, Saewara, Zelios, and Morandar to maintain and regulate seven schools of magic. After the fall of Mystra, her children were promoted and assigned a school of magic. Their actions range from assisting mortals in the study of their field of the arcane to creating and removing spells as they see fit.

The Magi were not always a group of seven. Before splitting off in -7,730 OS, Corpuul was a part of the committee, making the organization eight strong. Disagreeing with the rest of his siblings, the god of necromancy isolated himself in The Meld, eventually joining the Ichoric pantheon.

The eldest daughter and son, Spectra and Evok, serve as the diarchal leaders of the Magi. While these two do not have any more inherent power than their siblings, their influence on the planes provides them with a pedestal to stand on.
