In -? OS, Gharim and his allies assisted in protecting Cupiditas during the Clockwork Attack. The Kindred of Dawn found that Gharim had inside knowledge and forewarning of the attack, as well as being in possession of the Geas Eye that ended the event. He was also found to be hoarding a large sum of gold, seemingly in preparation for the attack.
