Giants

Giants are extremely long lived creatures native to the Prime Material Plane. They were extremely plentiful in ancient times, but after a falling out with their creator and god, Titan, their age had passed. In modern day, they live as shadows of their former selves, but retain most of their might.

The Giant's Betrayal

Many ages ago, when giants were at their height of power, they possessed tremendous physical strength and elemental magic. Their might was so immense to where many giants were gaining the strength of demigods. In their thirst for more power, the giants came together with the goal of overthrowing their very own god in hopes to steal his divinity. The Lord of Stone admired their physical strength, but their might was built upon the backs of the goliaths that they enslaved. Titan found this to be extremely dishonorable and freed the goliaths who promptly revolted and fought with the god of the giants. Unable to handle both a god and an army, the giants fell to their lord, but were not only left with defeat. As punishment for their betrayal, Titan cursed the giants by fracturing their race into different sects, that way they would never be able to unite in crossing him again.
