The Meld

The three lower planes each bring a flavor of evil to the world of Helia. While the Nine Hells resemble lawful evil and the Abyss houses chaos, the Meld is a land of evil with no drive. The plane is a vast land that acts more akin to a creature than a stagnant location. It is the direct opposite to the Feywild, as in the plane itself is alive and embedded with magic. Unlike the land of the fey, which is thriving with nature, life, and beauty, the Meld is a world of decay, disgust, and undeath.

The landscape of the plane is a vile land of flesh, bone, and viscera. Tight corridors of pulsing muscle tissue, chasms of bone and cartilage, and many other horrors are what makes up the Meld. The source of the vileness is due to the greater god that inhabits the plane, Ichor. It is a being of sickness and disease incarnate, a creature that relishes in suffering with no purpose or drive. Ichor is said to be physically manifested in the most disease ridden, fetid chambers of the Meld. The closer one gets, the more toxicity one will be forced to endure.
