Cynefrid

Greater Deity - Great One

One of the Five Great Ones, Cynefrid is the goddess of the Elemental Planes, nature, and many things revolving around the concept of matter. She rules over the lesser gods of her pantheon, but gives them a lot of independence and dominion over their respective elemental plane. Unlike the other members of the five, Cynefrid is the only god to not have a recorded instance of a physical manifestation, be it aspect or her true self. Religious scholars suspect that her dominion over the concept of matter is so immense that she does not need a physical body.

Temples of Cynefrid can be found all over the world, with many of its caretakers and followers being druids. Those within will preach for protection and sustainment of the beautiful world their goddess has created. After all, every part of nature has had Cynefrid's hand in it. The best way to give thanks to the goddess of nature is to offer back a portion of whatever you take from her creation. Farmers will bury their best cattle instead of eating them, while a carpenter will use their best wood to make an idol in Cynefrid's name. Mortals know that the Mother of Matter is not a goddess to be trifled with, as her presence knows almost no limit. After all, even the wind that blows through your hair is said to be the breath of the goddess herself.
