Heart of the Tempest

Many mortals respect the overwhelming power of the sea and the dangerous storms that form above it. While an individual is attuned to it, The Heart of the Tempest is one of the few ways a person can truly grasp a shard of that power. However, if left unattuned to, the divine token protects and provides for the area around it as well as allowing worshippers of Hura to connect with her.

Appearance

The Heart of the Tempest is a shimmering blue crystal that crackles with electricity on the outside and swirls with shifting water on the inside. It is the size of a tennis ball.

Abilities

• Provides protection from select natural disasters in an area while unattuned.

• Provides a bountiful fishing harvest in an area while unattuned.

• Allows for divination and increased knowledge for followers of Hura while unattuned.

• User can control the weather in a localized area while attuned.

• User gains increased strength while attuned.

• User gains resistance to lightning and thunder while attuned.

• User deals additional damage while attuned.

• User can travel via storm cloud while attuned.

Restrictions

• Attuning to the heart brings imbalance to the Prime Material Plane, Elemental Plane of Air, and Elemental Plane of Water. Storms are more frequent and destructive under this imbalance.
