Like half elves, halflings come from the interspecies breeding between humans and dwarves or gnomes. They are quite common, largely due to them adopting the human trait of frequent reproduction. In the same sense, they adopt the majority of human traits and are extremely social. They excel in art, music, and are often cultural pioneers. Halflings also have some of the most subracial diversity, as they originate from both dwarves and gnomes with their respective subraces, with the most common being lightfoot and stout halflings. Another key trait of halflings is their uncanny, almost magical connection to luck. They have a tendency to avoid conflict, and have surprisingly been able to do so because of what can only be described as luck. This connection is only bolstered in their widespread worship of Forte. If you're at a casino and the dealer is a halfling, you best cash out what money you have left.
