Half elves emerged naturally after the migration of the wood and high elves from the Feywild. They retain the smugness and confidence of their elvish ancestors mixed with the ambition and determination of humans. Half elves are social and active participants in large civilizations, usually centered around diversity. However, full-blood elves tend to exclude half elves. This is not always just out of a belief of inferiority, but also due to the lack of longevity. The lifespan of a half elf is a fraction of a pure elf's, making it hard for them to partake and make change in an elvish society. Additionally, half elves retain elvish resistances to magic, but lack the innate ability to wield it. This difference only increases the division between them further. Because of their exclusion from elvish society, they tend to be very alike to humans, albeit a bit more susceptible to pride.
